Auction Terminology Legend

The table below explains what the main terminologies are within the auctions and on the website – read our How Low Bid Auctions Work section to understand how these terms are used around the website.

Add More Bids
This link shows extra boxes under the bid entry box so that you can place more than one bid in one transaction.
All Bids Table
This table displays all of the bids placed on the specific item since the auction began.
Auction Status
This area of the game page contains the bid bar.
Balance
Your balance is the total amount of funds you have in your account, which you can use to place bids in any game.
Bid
This term is used to describe the process of choosing an amount and paying the bid price in order to register your amount within the all bids table for the item.
Bid Bar
The game’s completion status is represented by the bid bar – when the bid bar is full the game can end and the winner is announced.
Bid Price
This is the price you must pay from your account balance in order to place a bid for the item.
Bid Range
The bid range shows the upper and lower limits of the bid you can place on the game being viewed.
Bid Star
Throughout our website, the bid star signifies a place that you can place bids on an item.
Cash Balance
Your cash balance is the amount of cash within your account that you may request to be withdrawn from your account at any time.
Categories
These are areas of the website that our items are sorted into to make it easier for you to find the item that you’re interested in winning.
Credit Balance
Your credit balance is the amount of free credit you have been awarded as part of one of our promotions – this may not be withdrawn from your account.
Ending Soon
This link will take you to a list of the auctions that are due to end the soonest so that you can try to place a last minute unique bid to win.
Lowest Unique Bid
The entire game on BidBudgie revolves around the concept of the Lowest Unique Bid. It is the lowest bid amount placed on an item where only one participant has bid that specific amount. See the How It Works page for more details.
Multi-Bid-Picker
This clever tool shows you all of the possible bid amounts in a handy and convenient table layout.
My Bids Table
This table shows only the bids placed by you on the item you are viewing.
My Profile
This area of the site contains your personal details, your account balance and your history.
Non-Unique Bid
This describes bid amounts that have received more than one bid from more than one participant.
RRP
The Recommended Retail Price is the amount that the manufacturer suggests the item should be sold for.
Time Remaining
This countdown timer displays the time remaining on the game. This may be restarted if the Bid Bar is not full.
Top-up
The Top-up link takes you straight to the page where you can add cash into your account.
Unique Bid
This describes bid amounts that have received no more than one participant’s bid in one of our games.
